Batam Again...

Kita sekeluarga pergi Batam lagi. 27-29 Dec 07. This time kita bawak bik su and mak ani sekali. We stayed at the same hotel, Holiday Inn Batam and took the same ferry BatamFast from HabourFront Centre.

We went many places. This time we hired a tour guide. Found this superb resort by the seaside... PT KTM Resorts and this excellent seafood restaurant the Golden Prawn 933.

Wah.. rindu nya dgn blog-memblog. Dah lama benor aku tak ziarah blog pupu2 ku semua. Last entry aku Hari Raya Aidilfitri?!!! Wah .. lama benor. Dah nak dekat Hari Raya Aidiladha lah..


Takde citer best lah happening..


Bulan december ni, bulan basah... almost everyday hujan.. tapi... bulan december juga bulan extra kering untok poket ku. Banyak nah beshday2 and owang2 kawing. Takde lain hari ke dorang nak lahir & kawing eh?? ... hihihi..

Latest ni.. poket ku hampir2 terkopak salak pasal 4 anak sedare Papa sleep over our place. Sib baik semua "cost of living" dorang, Papa nak tanggong... hahaha.. selamat kocek aku sejap. We pick them up on sun nite. Pastu singgah belanja pat Sheng Siong bedok. Banyak seh Papa belanja. 3 bakol !! Macam2 ada.. macam nak buat kenduri. Ni gare2 nak kasi makan soljar 4 owang ni.



On Mon nite plak, Papa belanja tengok wayang. Kita pi tengok Golden Compass pat JPt. Sebelom nak pegi tu dah kecoh. Aku suruh dorang pakai baju long-sleeve & long pants. Pasal musim hujan.. sejok... brrrrrr. Abang tak bawak long pants, Kakak takde long-sleeve, Mirul takde long pants & long sleeve. Terpaksa aku bongkar baju2 aku. Abang pinjam seluar Papa. Pinggang size 36 ko. Anjat aku sejap. Dia pakai seluar Papa macam rappers gitu.. hehehe.. Kakak bleh sedang baju baru aku. Baju yg aku belik terkecik 1 size... (in other words.. aku dah gemok 1 size hahahaha) Yg Mirul plak.. dia tak muat baju aku sekarang.. kene pakai baju t-shirt taim aku ngandong dulu, 1 size bigger. Mak datok ni budak. Baru 7 yrs old. Perot busat betol!!! Ain pinjam baju Faiz.. Sib baik muat.

Bila sampai JPt, carpark full. So Papa drop us first. We go collect tiket yg Papa dah book thru intenet and then bought 4 sets of popcorn. haa.. ni part yg aku terkopak. Papa "bill me - bill me" takde. Terpaksa ler aku yg bayar.. $34 !!! Papa sampai time aku dah bayar. Macam dia tau gitu eh.

Citer Golden Compass ni boring lah.. banyak cakap. Animation dia jer bleh tahan. Tapi bila part excited.. bebudak plak nak terkencing. Satu persatu plak tu. Papa kata.. dia bukan tengok citer wayang. Dia asik tengok budak kemeh jer... hahaha.. kesian Papa. Bila citer dah habis, ada plak yg nak Mc Donalds. Pastu ada plak nak terberak!!! Aiseman.. ni ler dugaan kalau anak ramai eh.. Bleh dapat high blood... Hai.. alhamdulillah jugak anak aku baru sorang... hihihi..

Hai hari ni, rumah ku dah sonyap. Semua soljar dah migrate pegi rumah MIL. Pandai2 ler SIL2 ku berdua jaga dorang. Aku dengar2 soljar akan bertambah bilangan. Angkatan dari Jurong, Pasir Ris & Tampines akan bersatu di sana hingga hari sabtu. Selamat Berperang lah Bik Buntal & Mak Mok... MUAKAKAKAKAKAKA... Camp Jurong sudah aman damai.. Sekarang aku nak tido..zzzzzz.. best nyer..

Ok lah.. ni latest family picture.. Ahli keluarga makin bertambah. Insya-Allah next month tambah lagi ahli keluarga mak yam. Gambar ni pembantu2 kene jadi cameraman. Stand camera hilang dlm store yg dah membuak... hahahaha...

Buat semua, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir & Batin. Halalkan makan minum kita dari kecik sampai sekarang ni. Kalau tersinggung dgn kata2 kita, harap maafkan. Syawal masih panjang.. so selamat bercollection....

1 Ramadhan 1428H

Ramadhan menjelang lagi. Alhamdulillah.. masih panjang umur ku. Aku berdoa semoga kita semua di beri kesihatan and kekuatan untuk menunaikan puasa di bulan Ramadhan Al-Mubarak ini.

Saw some tips to stay healthy during fasting in Ramadhan..

• Aim to consume slow digesting foods including fiber-containing foods. Slow-digesting foods last up to 8 hours, while fast-digesting foods last only 3 to 4 hours.



• Slow-digesting foods are foods that contain grains and seeds like barley, wheat, oats, semolina, beans, lentils, whole meal flour, etc. (complex carbohydrates).



• Fast-burning foods are foods that contain sugar, white flour, etc. (refined carbohydrates).



• Fibre-containing foods are bran-containing foods, whole wheat, grains, seeds, vegetables like green beans, peas, sem (papry), marrow, mealies, spinach, methie, fruit with skin, dried fruit especially dried apricots, figs and prunes, almonds, etc.



• Avoid fried and fatty foods; or foods containing too much sugar.

Happy Birthday To My Family

Kita baru balik short trip lagi. Trip to KL this time. Like always....jam everywhere. We went from 1-3 Sept, sempena school holidays and birthday Papa. This time, we don't enjoy much. Macam dah nothing interesting pat KL tu. I'd preferred the Batam trip instead.

Anyway, on 2nd of Sept, Papa's birthday.. we went Sunway Lagoon. Faiz really enjoy himself. This is his first trip to Sunway. Talking abt trip.... this is our 1st time driving to Sunway. The journey was annoying. The sign boards are really misleading. Sunway Lagoon is a famous attraction pun dorang tak put up a very gud signboard. Mana lah tourist tau.. Sunway Resort & Themepark dia sebelah-menyeblah. Luckily bukan aku yg drive.. kalau aku drive... dah sampai Ipoh ler nampak nyer...hihihi... mungkin sebabtu lah jodoh aku & papa... he drives & i read the map... and Insya-Allah we'll reach our destination... faiz jer lah yg bising almost every 10mins.."dah sampai?"..ggeerrrrh..

Holiday Inn Batam

National Day orang sibuk2 pergi tengok bunga api pat Marina. Aku tak pergi. I got fever. Tapi demam2 pun terpaksa ikot papa, faiz & bik su pergi tengok wayang criter Rush Hour 3. Funny show.

Since young, I really like Jackie Chan's movie. He's movies mesti ada "movie in the making" at the end. Very funny guy.

Papa try to make me happy by treating to a movie. Actually, I'm not in the mood. Tried to book hotel to KL tak dapat. All fully booked. Really looking forward to the Mega Sale at KL!! ceh.. In the end, we booked hotel to Batam. Hahaha!!

I've booked 1 king-sized bedroom in a non-smoking floor from 10-11 Aug 07. But to our surprised, they gave us a 2 bedroom hotel. Apa tak nyer, we supposed to check-in at 2pm (Batam time) tapi kol 8am kita dah sampai. Since Papa member of the Priority Club, I think they juz gave us whatever room they had on hand. Syukor rezeki..

Anyway, lihat lah modelku yg sorang ni bergaya... Asik muka dia jer eh.. Like what Bik Yaya cakap, "Sib baik hensem !"..hahaha..

Ok criter tadi plak. Kita pergi jemputan rumah Ciakni. Cukor rambut baby Naqeeb. Very hensem baby.

Imanites Sportz Day cum Family Carnival

Today, Iman Kindergarten organised a Sport's Day cum family carnival at Yishun Stadium. We're supposed to be there by 8am. Faiz tak bleh bangun. Kene seret dari katil by papa.. hahaha.

When we reached there, warm-up dah start. Many eager kids & parents around. The host is papa's friend, Adi Rahman. Very funny guy.

Iman Kindergarten

Budak2 sekarang serba canggih. So sekolah2 pun tak nak mereka ketinggalan dari alam cyber. Ada ke si Faiz yg baru K2 di suruh buat presentation slide !!.. Macam2 jer teacher2 ni. Homework di beri pada anak tapi last2 parents yang kene buat. Macam lah aku ni free sangat. Sib baik hal-ehwal buat movies & slides ni aku suka. Kalau tidak.. bleh tarok tepi sua.. hihihi..

Apa ke tidak nyer.. nak suruh budak tu taip.. betol punya jenuh... 1 sentence takes 5-7 mins! Ni baru suruh taip... belum suruh baca !! Slide transition tarok 15 sec pun tak cukop... hihihi.. kesian anak aku...

Anyway.. kita takde idea for any topic. Teacher Umai kata free topic. So here it goes... enjoyz....

Taman Perling

Last sat, kita sekeluarga tido pat Taman Perling. Since Mamang Usop dah moved out, we've got a place to stay. Dah lama tak pegi sana. A lot of changes... more houses and rumah dukun nyamok dah cantik lah. Sekarang dorang dah bergelar taukay minyak.

Semalam mak2 sumer amik cuti. Kita bawak bebudak pegi eXplorerKid at Downtown East. Fee $6/hr/kid and 1 adult to a kid. Kene pakai socks. They really had great fun. Especially si kecik tu... tak payah bawak pegi Tumbletots like her abang2. Really hyper seh..

MaKaN LagiKk!

Semalam my colleagues ajak pegi makan seafood pat JB lepas keje. This is the first time Sehpul kasi permission masuk JB without family members. I drove up to JB pastu tukar my fren's JB car. Dia kata journey jauh and my car takde power nak go the route. Hmmmm... Sib baik tak drive my car. See this part of the road. My fren yg drive Lancer baru dia menyumpah seh...

It took us 45 mins from Jusco Tebrau to SPOA. The place is near Tg Puteri Golf Resort and is at the end of the Pasir Gudang Highway!!

The place is famous among Chinese S'porean pasal ada S'pore artist promoting the place. I don't recommend orang Islam makan situ lah. Although tempatnya cuma jual seafood and the cook ada yg melayu, tapi tempat ni tak ditanggung halal sebab they sell alcohol (see the sponsor on the board). Kalau aku tau.. memang sengsiang aku tak nak pegi. Dah ler jauh.. nampak jer board tu aku dah tertanya2.. bleh ke aku tertelan makanan pat sini? Aku ni bab makan cerewet sikit and aku pun baru baik dari ceret-beret! The helpers in the restaurant semua melayu tapi tak tau ler Islam ke tidak sebab OA tu Orang Asli. But the restaurant owner, a Chinese lady jamin semua halal. Aku tawakal tanpa was2 aku rasa lah makanan tu.. not so fantastic lah.. but nak jaga hati frens.. cakap ajer ok.

Aku makan sikit jer giving excuse aku masih sakit perut. Diorang makan pelahap betol especially pompuan China yg pakai sleveless ni. Badan kurus sekeping tapi kalau bab makan... Sehpul pun bleh kalah!

Trip to Cherating

We juz came back from holiday to Cherating from 31 May to 2 June 2007. Took advantage of the Vesak holiday to spend time with Faiz since school holiday juz began.


Papa drove his Red SuperSpeed up the KL highway exiting at Yong Peng, up to Segamat and then Kuantan. It took him almost 6 hrs drive to reach Cherating. Many colleagues advice us not to take the East Coast highway due to unpredictable weather nowadays.



We stayed in Impiana Resort. Payed S$93 per nite for a deluxe room. Queen sized bed was out so we have to squeeze in to 2 single beds.




Cherating Beach is beautiful. Clear water and unpolluted beach.



On the way home, we stopped at Segamat to shop for fruits.

Faiz Reading Clinic

WAH SUCCESS !!! I've been trying to post this video in my blog since Sunday.. At last I've got it.. Yaahoooo..

Anyway, I wanna share this short clip of a special performance by kids (Nursery - K2) from Iman Kindergarten (Jurong). They've completed their Module 2 Reading Clinic 2007 on 26 May. They are so cute... There's 1 girl from Nursery that's sooo shy. "stage fright" agaknyer. She kept her eyes close during the performance.. hihihi ;)

FIL

For the past few weeks, macam2 berita kurang baik kita sekeluarga terima. Mungkin ni semua dugaaan Allah untuk kita manusia.

Sejak arwah kak Sayum meninggal, tiap2 bulan kita dapat berita orang meninggal. Either my family side ataupun Saiful's family side. Orang2 yg baik2 yg pergi dulu. The latest pemergian happen last week Monday morning. Arwah Hj Md Yusof Bin Ismail, pengerusi Masjid Mujahidin. Moga dia digolongkan dlm orang2 yg beriman. Amin. Arwah adalah suami kepada Saiful's very close cousin.

Pemergian dia sungguh tidak di sangka2. Sedih dan terperanjat kita semua dapat berita. Macam mana tak sedih...the day before dia meninggal, dia datang menziarah my FIL (father-in-law) yg baru habis operation. Coincidently, kita sekeluarga pun ada pat rumah FIL. Kita baru balik jemputan dgn MIL. Time tu, aku tengah sakit kepala. Baru telan 2 Panadol , sedara Saiful pun sampai. Yang menziarah FIL ni ramai, satu bas mini... keluarga Oberk Bokbok. Kalau keluarga ni datang, kecoh rumah FIL. Mereka orang2 yg peramah & ceria tapi bukan sembarang2 orang. Keluarga Oberk Bokbok ramai ahli2 agama, ustaz & ustazah. Then my BIL sekeluarga pun sampai jugak. Makin lah kecoh, sebab mereka ada baby baru, Baby Hakimi. Dalam kekecohan ni, aku tertanya my SIL siapa yg duduk sebelah Oberk tu. Aku tak pernah nampak. My SIL cakap tu Abg Usop suami Kak Zizah. Eh .. macam nama my cousin dgn hubby dia plak. So coincident... Anyway, mereka balik sebelum magrib. BIL & kita sekeluarga balik dlm kol 8pm gitu pasal besok nak kerja.

At 6.50 Monday morning, my SIL call. Mata tengah kelat2, aku jawab talipon. She told me "Abg Usop meninggal." Usop mana plak?.. She reminded me of the guy that I ask yesterday nite!! Mata terus terbukak besar. Hah?!! Kepala aku pun terus sakit balik. Hai.. MC lah nampak nyer hari ni. Tapi yg paling challenging bila breaking the news to Saiful. Dia baru tertido lepas makan sahur. At first, bila aku break the news, Saiful macam takde special reaction. Dia cuma cakap "Innalillah..". Aku pun heran. Wah tabah nya dia terima berita ni.. Aku yg baru kenal org tu semalam dah sedih. So aku repeat berapa kali. Baru aku dapat agak.. Saiful ingat yg meninggal ni my uncle, Mamang Usop, pasal the nite before kita ada cakap2 pasal Mamang Usop & my parents' kampung. Kelakar betul lah laki aku ni. Aku macam cakap dengan bini PakMat Tempeh gitu.. Agaknyer dlm 5 min baru dia sedar Abg Usop yg mana yg meninggal. Baru lah airmata dia mencurah2...

Kita dapat tahu, Arwah meninggal waktu dalam solat sunnat sebelum subuh. Mungkin bila nak rukok, dia terus rebah. Dahi nya terhentak bucu side table dan terus tersembam ke lantai. Bunyi hentakkan kuat tu yg kejutkan isterinya dari tidur.

Now kita sekeluarga nak menghadap cabaran seterus nya. My FIL baru di diagnose dapat Lymphoma Cancer. Semalam baru pergi check-up at NCC. Not sure sekarang apa stage. It looks at early stage sebab dia lagi berselera makan. FIL tak nak Chemotheraphy. Dia takut jadi macam cousin dia. Terlantar di katil, panas baran, badan bisa2 & ada sakit lupa2.

Cousin2, ahli keluarga & friends yg mulia, if any of u tahu cara untuk mengubati Lymphoma Cancer selain dari Chemotheraphy, pls do share with me.. Thank you very much...

Alhamdulillah sedara-mara yg ke USA dah selamat sampai S'pore on 17 Mar 07 @9am. Semua nya sihat2 belaka, cuma they look very tired & a bit slimmer and darker especially Tok Mang. hmmm.. the other time when I went there... I put on weight!! 2kg to be exact!! hehehe..

Anyway.. juz wanna thank them for all these.......

To sedara-mara yg tolong angkotkan balik S'pore, yg tolong belikkan kiriman2 ku & yg hadiahkan kami sekeluarga oleh2... a very BIG THANK YOU... Insya-Allah murah rezeki kalian. Untung ada ramai sedara-mara macam kalian... mmmuaaahhh ;)

Wah ..at last!! ... computer ku dah sembuh dari sakit labu-labi nya. Mungkin semput pasal banyak sangat laba2 pat sini.

Faiz 13th Cousin !!

Alhamdulillah... keluarga sebelah Papa semakin bertambah. Nenek Anah & Atok Uci dah ada 13 cucus !! Nampaknya raya tahun ini kalau di kumpulkan semuanya.. rumah bleh roboh maaannn!!... Atok & nenek pun bleh kering kocek bagi angpow!!! Yang budak2 dapat angpow... yg mak2 budak semua tukang tapao..hihihi..

Ni tak bleh jadik... keluarga Nek Yam pun nak kene tambah2 ler.. Mang Shah , Bik Liza & Oberk Bayah.. work hard lah!!..hihihi..

Aku plak.. Allah blum nak kasi agaknya. Work extremely hard pun blum ada cerita. Ada my cousin tu.. senang nah mengandung.. share lah tips. hihihi..

Rasa2 gomen nak tambahkan lagi tak maternity leave? Haritu kelik aku yg dari China cakap... ibu2 yg baru melahirkan and bekerja under China gomen sektor... bleh dapat 6-12 mths maternity leave!!!.. best nyer... Tapi diorang bleh ada anak seorang jer. Tak bleh lebih. Kalau lebih, kene bayar saman. Kesian orang2 dari sana.
