Last sat, kita sekeluarga tido pat Taman Perling. Since Mamang Usop dah moved out, we've got a place to stay. Dah lama tak pegi sana. A lot of changes... more houses and rumah dukun nyamok dah cantik lah. Sekarang dorang dah bergelar taukay minyak.

Semalam mak2 sumer amik cuti. Kita bawak bebudak pegi eXplorerKid at Downtown East. Fee $6/hr/kid and 1 adult to a kid. Kene pakai socks. They really had great fun. Especially si kecik tu... tak payah bawak pegi Tumbletots like her abang2. Really hyper seh..

Semalam my colleagues ajak pegi makan seafood pat JB lepas keje. This is the first time Sehpul kasi permission masuk JB without family members. I drove up to JB pastu tukar my fren's JB car. Dia kata journey jauh and my car takde power nak go the route. Hmmmm... Sib baik tak drive my car. See this part of the road. My fren yg drive Lancer baru dia menyumpah seh...

It took us 45 mins from Jusco Tebrau to SPOA. The place is near Tg Puteri Golf Resort and is at the end of the Pasir Gudang Highway!!

The place is famous among Chinese S'porean pasal ada S'pore artist promoting the place. I don't recommend orang Islam makan situ lah. Although tempatnya cuma jual seafood and the cook ada yg melayu, tapi tempat ni tak ditanggung halal sebab they sell alcohol (see the sponsor on the board). Kalau aku tau.. memang sengsiang aku tak nak pegi. Dah ler jauh.. nampak jer board tu aku dah tertanya2.. bleh ke aku tertelan makanan pat sini? Aku ni bab makan cerewet sikit and aku pun baru baik dari ceret-beret! The helpers in the restaurant semua melayu tapi tak tau ler Islam ke tidak sebab OA tu Orang Asli. But the restaurant owner, a Chinese lady jamin semua halal. Aku tawakal tanpa was2 aku rasa lah makanan tu.. not so fantastic lah.. but nak jaga hati frens.. cakap ajer ok.

Aku makan sikit jer giving excuse aku masih sakit perut. Diorang makan pelahap betol especially pompuan China yg pakai sleveless ni. Badan kurus sekeping tapi kalau bab makan... Sehpul pun bleh kalah!

Trip to Cherating

We juz came back from holiday to Cherating from 31 May to 2 June 2007. Took advantage of the Vesak holiday to spend time with Faiz since school holiday juz began.


Papa drove his Red SuperSpeed up the KL highway exiting at Yong Peng, up to Segamat and then Kuantan. It took him almost 6 hrs drive to reach Cherating. Many colleagues advice us not to take the East Coast highway due to unpredictable weather nowadays.



We stayed in Impiana Resort. Payed S$93 per nite for a deluxe room. Queen sized bed was out so we have to squeeze in to 2 single beds.




Cherating Beach is beautiful. Clear water and unpolluted beach.



On the way home, we stopped at Segamat to shop for fruits.

Faiz Reading Clinic

WAH SUCCESS !!! I've been trying to post this video in my blog since Sunday.. At last I've got it.. Yaahoooo..

Anyway, I wanna share this short clip of a special performance by kids (Nursery - K2) from Iman Kindergarten (Jurong). They've completed their Module 2 Reading Clinic 2007 on 26 May. They are so cute... There's 1 girl from Nursery that's sooo shy. "stage fright" agaknyer. She kept her eyes close during the performance.. hihihi ;)

FIL

For the past few weeks, macam2 berita kurang baik kita sekeluarga terima. Mungkin ni semua dugaaan Allah untuk kita manusia.

Sejak arwah kak Sayum meninggal, tiap2 bulan kita dapat berita orang meninggal. Either my family side ataupun Saiful's family side. Orang2 yg baik2 yg pergi dulu. The latest pemergian happen last week Monday morning. Arwah Hj Md Yusof Bin Ismail, pengerusi Masjid Mujahidin. Moga dia digolongkan dlm orang2 yg beriman. Amin. Arwah adalah suami kepada Saiful's very close cousin.

Pemergian dia sungguh tidak di sangka2. Sedih dan terperanjat kita semua dapat berita. Macam mana tak sedih...the day before dia meninggal, dia datang menziarah my FIL (father-in-law) yg baru habis operation. Coincidently, kita sekeluarga pun ada pat rumah FIL. Kita baru balik jemputan dgn MIL. Time tu, aku tengah sakit kepala. Baru telan 2 Panadol , sedara Saiful pun sampai. Yang menziarah FIL ni ramai, satu bas mini... keluarga Oberk Bokbok. Kalau keluarga ni datang, kecoh rumah FIL. Mereka orang2 yg peramah & ceria tapi bukan sembarang2 orang. Keluarga Oberk Bokbok ramai ahli2 agama, ustaz & ustazah. Then my BIL sekeluarga pun sampai jugak. Makin lah kecoh, sebab mereka ada baby baru, Baby Hakimi. Dalam kekecohan ni, aku tertanya my SIL siapa yg duduk sebelah Oberk tu. Aku tak pernah nampak. My SIL cakap tu Abg Usop suami Kak Zizah. Eh .. macam nama my cousin dgn hubby dia plak. So coincident... Anyway, mereka balik sebelum magrib. BIL & kita sekeluarga balik dlm kol 8pm gitu pasal besok nak kerja.

At 6.50 Monday morning, my SIL call. Mata tengah kelat2, aku jawab talipon. She told me "Abg Usop meninggal." Usop mana plak?.. She reminded me of the guy that I ask yesterday nite!! Mata terus terbukak besar. Hah?!! Kepala aku pun terus sakit balik. Hai.. MC lah nampak nyer hari ni. Tapi yg paling challenging bila breaking the news to Saiful. Dia baru tertido lepas makan sahur. At first, bila aku break the news, Saiful macam takde special reaction. Dia cuma cakap "Innalillah..". Aku pun heran. Wah tabah nya dia terima berita ni.. Aku yg baru kenal org tu semalam dah sedih. So aku repeat berapa kali. Baru aku dapat agak.. Saiful ingat yg meninggal ni my uncle, Mamang Usop, pasal the nite before kita ada cakap2 pasal Mamang Usop & my parents' kampung. Kelakar betul lah laki aku ni. Aku macam cakap dengan bini PakMat Tempeh gitu.. Agaknyer dlm 5 min baru dia sedar Abg Usop yg mana yg meninggal. Baru lah airmata dia mencurah2...

Kita dapat tahu, Arwah meninggal waktu dalam solat sunnat sebelum subuh. Mungkin bila nak rukok, dia terus rebah. Dahi nya terhentak bucu side table dan terus tersembam ke lantai. Bunyi hentakkan kuat tu yg kejutkan isterinya dari tidur.

Now kita sekeluarga nak menghadap cabaran seterus nya. My FIL baru di diagnose dapat Lymphoma Cancer. Semalam baru pergi check-up at NCC. Not sure sekarang apa stage. It looks at early stage sebab dia lagi berselera makan. FIL tak nak Chemotheraphy. Dia takut jadi macam cousin dia. Terlantar di katil, panas baran, badan bisa2 & ada sakit lupa2.

Cousin2, ahli keluarga & friends yg mulia, if any of u tahu cara untuk mengubati Lymphoma Cancer selain dari Chemotheraphy, pls do share with me.. Thank you very much...

Alhamdulillah sedara-mara yg ke USA dah selamat sampai S'pore on 17 Mar 07 @9am. Semua nya sihat2 belaka, cuma they look very tired & a bit slimmer and darker especially Tok Mang. hmmm.. the other time when I went there... I put on weight!! 2kg to be exact!! hehehe..

Anyway.. juz wanna thank them for all these.......

To sedara-mara yg tolong angkotkan balik S'pore, yg tolong belikkan kiriman2 ku & yg hadiahkan kami sekeluarga oleh2... a very BIG THANK YOU... Insya-Allah murah rezeki kalian. Untung ada ramai sedara-mara macam kalian... mmmuaaahhh ;)

Alhamdulillah... keluarga sebelah Papa semakin bertambah. Nenek Anah & Atok Uci dah ada 13 cucus !! Nampaknya raya tahun ini kalau di kumpulkan semuanya.. rumah bleh roboh maaannn!!... Atok & nenek pun bleh kering kocek bagi angpow!!! Yang budak2 dapat angpow... yg mak2 budak semua tukang tapao..hihihi..

Rasa2 gomen nak tambahkan lagi tak maternity leave? Haritu kelik aku yg dari China cakap... ibu2 yg baru melahirkan and bekerja under China gomen sektor... bleh dapat 6-12 mths maternity leave!!!.. best nyer... Tapi diorang bleh ada anak seorang jer. Tak bleh lebih. Kalau lebih, kene bayar saman. Kesian orang2 dari sana.

Long Weekend Is OVER !!

Alhamdulillah.. plan pergi piknik hari ni berjln dgn lancar. Cuaca pun on our side. Windy & not so hot. We reached East Coast abt 9.15am. Semua berangan nak sampai sana kol 8.30am. Selalu nya my cousins are the first to be there and I'm the last one to reach. But today it's juz my family & my beloved Mak Ngah, and I'm the FIRST to reached! Unsangkerable..kehkehkeh..

Since last sat, EC had been jam packed with ppl, especially Malay & Indian families. Today dah better. Easily get a parking lot. Saper kata S'pore ni bersih?.. Fuh.. Tadi punya lah kotor!! Susah nak cari good spot. Semua penuh dgn sampah!! Ni semua case orang2 yg tak considerate.

Anyway, we managed to get a good spot & pitched our tent. Nek Yam bawak Mc Donald's BB set & nasi lemak. Nek Ngah bawak epok2 & some other kueh (lupa plak apa.. semua dah masok perot!) Me bawak epok2, pau instant & drinks. And I really mean "bawak"... kehkehkeh.. Bik Su yg prepare semuanya.

A bit later, Bik Liza family sampai with her MIL & FIL. The crowd's bigger and kids enjoy themselves. Kesian my elder sis & my cousins yg lain tak dapat join the nomang session. Hot topik!!!

Iffah: "Abg Aish.. tu tebang Ngah ke?"

Iffah: "Mana dia eh?.. Kata nak tebang siniiii?"

Nek Ngah: "Mana dia bleh tebang sini.. Yok kita pegi sana taon depan lah"

Kak Nisa: "Ok lah.. Mama & Papa kene simpan duit. Kita pun nak ikot!"
Faiz: "Marilah kita korek pasir lagiii.. Nek Ngah kata nanti dah takde pasir lagi.. Pat sini semua akan di simen."
Aniq: "Biiikkk... Indon dah tak nak jual pasir lagi ke??"

New Project

Since dah lama tak picnic, so dari last week dah plan nak pegi today.. tapi at last terpaksa cancel. Bangun pagi tadi.. Faiz demam lagi. Kesian Faiz. Semalam dia batok sikit2. Pat school, teacher kasi oranges & chocolates as CNY gifts. At home plak makan dua small Toblerone. Semua licin.. Hai.. mana tak sakit!!.. Bila ditegur.. marah plak! Anyway, ramalan cuaca harini pun not so good. Expect rain whole S'pore. So terpaksa call nenek2 & sms sumer terlibat to cancel today's plan. Nek Yam boring tapi suruh plan lagi within the next 3 days.

Nek Yam & Nek Ngah memang suka piknik. Dorang suka duduk tepi laut sambil bercerita. Aku pun suka. Suka kenapa tau.. everytime ada piknik.. mesti Nek Yam & Nek Ngah bawak makanan sedap2 and then sambil makan... bleh dengar CERITA TERKINI !!.. hihihi.. Bukan kepo tau. Nenek2 kalau dah lepas 1 cerita, dorang mesti selitkan nasihat2.. tu yg bagus kita buat iktibar.. Anyway, aku punya antenna tak panjang. Selalu terlepas CNN hot news. hihi.. So nenek2s.. Insya-Allah kalau Faiz dah baik & cuaca baik kita pegi piknik on Mon/Tues lah.

Sehpul standby this long weekend. Kalau dia kene call... terpaksa dia pergi keje lah. Aku OFF aperr. Public Holiday.. Saper yg keje tu memang nasib tak baik ler. Like what my SIL cakap.."Org Giler jer keje time PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!". Tu dia yg cakap lah, bukan aku. Tapi buat org yg mempertahankan keamanan S'pura ni. Memang baik Anda keje. Time CNY gerenti ramai yg mabuk2. Kalau dah mabuk tapi tak buat kacau tak per.

Cakap pasal mabuk.. semalam time balik keje aku terperanjat bila Sehpul tunggu aku pat carpark. Apasal plak dekni?.. Aku balik kol 7pm bukan nyer 1am!

Sehpul cakap time balik keje.. ada 1 geng budak remaja melayu bawah blok kita. Around 15ppl. Umur dlm 10-16 yrs old. Mix of girls & boys. Dorang mabok!!.. Yg mabok lain.. ada yg berpelok2 & cium2 plak tu!! They make a hell lot of noise. Passerby cuma tengok2 jer. Heran jugak, umur macam ni bleh plak beli beer.

Sehpul apa lagik.. dia call police lah. Time police datang Sehpul dah pat carpark tunggu aku. Dia nampak budak2 tu, bertempiaran lari!! Yg dah mabuk tu.. kene soal lah.. nak lari pun dah tak nampak arah tujuan.. But there's 2 boys.. lari and then throw a small white paper/bag aside. Bila police dah blah, budak lelaki tu pick that thing up. Sehpul suspect it's drugs. Tapi dia tak confront that boy. Takut geng dorang buat kacau pat keluarga kita plak. Budak2 zaman sekarang banyak yg dah rosak eh. Takut bila fikirkan Faiz's future & generation. Doa2 Faiz dijauhkan dari godaan2 & org2 yg tak baik.

So back to my plan. I need to plan something for today. Kalau tidak.. today will be another sleeping weekend. I need PROJECT baru....
Hmmm.. aku rounding satu rumah.. first things first.

PROJECT 1: Need to buy new tv. TV pat depan dah kapuuut last Tues. 3 yrs lifetime dah up. Tak pernah2 tv kiter bleh kaput in such short lifespan. Apa tidak nyer.... Faiz on tv tu 12 HOURS A DAY! Cartoon Network & Disney Channel. As always.. Papa try tu "solve" the tv "issue" last wed. Dia godeh2 tu tv macam mesin2 yg rosak pat keje dia. But too bad, i donno which part of the tv give a bright spark after he changed the fuse. Sib baik Faiz & bibik dah shift tempat dari duduk depan tv. And as always.. I started my normal routine of NAGGING.. kehkehkeh..

So tadi Sehpul & I pegi Katong Mall carik TV... tapi... kedai tu tutup plak. That shop gives a very good bargain for electrical stuffs comparing to big department stores like Best Denki, Courts & Harvey Norman. A great $200-$400 difference. Jauh pun jauh lah. Bukan nyer nak kene jln kaki. 30 mins jer dah sampai. That shop will reopen on 23 Feb 07. Aiseman.. terpaksa tengok tv kecik. Aku ni rabun.. so nak kene tengok dekat sikit lah untok seminggu ni. Since kedai tu tutop, we plan to go Ikea pat Alexandra plak.

That's my PROJECT 2: Buy good solid shelving for my store room. Sesiapa yg tengok store room aku bleh pengsan.. hehehe.. Sib baik store room aku bukan yg bomb shelter type. Sesiapa yg berlindung dlm tu, bleh mati kene timpa harta pusaka!!!...

Ada yg pengsan tak??!!

Dulu2 time baru beli rumah ni, kita takde duit. Duit cukup2 makan jer. Barang2 yg ada pat rumah, banyak atas belas ikhsan keluarga. Yg perlu jer kita beli. Within the 9 yrs living here, banyak barang2 yg tak terpakai and nak buang sayang... hai.. macam bapak aku plak eh... semua simpan.. kehkehkeh..

Mak pernah cakap bilik aku ada banyak.. kenapa tak bleh letak pat bilik. Memang pun bilik banyak. 3 bilik tidur & 1 study room. Tapi semua size kecik2. Cukop untok masuk Queen size bed & cupboard jer. Hall jer besar macam padang bola! Tak kan nak letak banyak barang pat hall. Kalau berserak.. sakit mata mannn... And Faiz plak suka main bola & also ride his bicycle pat hall. Last year, vase aku dah pecah satu. Bicycle punya pasal lah!!

Round2 pat Ikea, none of the shelving strong enough to hold heavy stuff. I surprise myself for buying NOTHING!!.. Oh man... tak bleh jadik!!.. So, sweet talk Sehpul pegi IMM plak.. "Pat IMM ada Best Denki & Giant tau. Akira pun dekat".. kehkehkeh.. He fall for it!!

Akira tutop plak. Bila sampai IMM.. ooo lala.. ramai org seh. Best Denki dah tak jual tv style lama. Cuma ada Plasma & LCD tv jer. Harga plak melambong2. Semua ribu2 bintang mari.. mana cukop duit. Project banyak quarter ni. Budget nanti lari.. hihi..

Giant jgn harap lah dapat beli barang. Org yg berator nak bayar tu.. macam kedai2 makan akan tutop buat seminggu. We masuk round pat tv area pastu keluar balik. And I surprise myself for buying NOTHING AGAIN!!.. Oh man... double tak bleh jadik!

This time, bukan aku jer fed-up. Sehpul pun fed-up..kehkehkeh.. He drove to Giant at Pioneer Mall. Yek eleh... Giant close till 11pm today and tomorrow they'll open 24hrs. Dapat jugak aku beli makanan. At least buy something.. tak pernah aku go shopping.. balik tangan kosong!!..

Ok besok nak buat PROJECT 3: spring cleaning. Now dah ngantok nak tido... zzzzz....

STM kasi $15 per employee every quarter as Dept fund. So, semalam aku nyer dept organise makan2 pat MaSinThai Seafood Restaurant @ Changi Road. It took over Eden Restaurant building. The place looks the same. No great difference. Anyway.. janji Halal.

These are the AMK6 STM Trainers. Boss kita tak join tapi dia pay for 1 table. Dia tak nak spoil the mood. hihihi.. kesian boss..

PS: Sesiaper yang dah jadik "MANAGER" tu.. biasa kan diri belanja2 makan eh. Semoga di murahkan rezeki.. Amin ;)

Bila perut dah kenyang, kita balik rumah MIL (mom-in-law). Tompang solat and then tido.. Bila bangun, SIL (sis-in-law) belanja Arnold's chicken. Ni Faiz yg mintak. Hai..Makan lagik!! Nikmatnyer hidup di dunia ni kalau ada orang2 budiman senantiasa belanja aku makan...hihihihi... Sib baik tahun ni, azam aku bukan kuruskan badan eh!

Faiz demam last night. His right ear bleeds bila nak solat magrib. Papa kecoh bila his only son sakit. Aku pun ikot kene marah jugak. Nak calmkan anak pun kene marah. Kesian aku. Lepas magrib, Papa brought Faiz to "My Family Clinic" at Pioneer Mall.

Tok Usin was at my place after returning the car. We were watching S'pore vs Thailand when the phone rang. Papa called. Faiz kept crying at the clinic. Papa can't handle him alone, so I have to come down there to help him. Luckily it was half time, Thai was leading by 1 goal. I shared a cab with Tok to the clinic and Tok had to continue watching the game at his own place. Sorry Tok..

I reached the clinic and Faiz already asleep. The screen is showing 102.. Wah so slow ah!!.. Faiz is 108. Tapi takper.. clinic ada tv. I continue watching the game. Hmm.. S'pore team need to buck-up on their strikers.. So weak!! .. Eh.. anak aku sakit lah.. hehehe.. macam terlupa plak time tengok bola. Aku bukan nyer minat sangat tengok bola. Tapi teringat pasal Thai tak puas hati time last match, tu yg buat aku nak tau saper yg menang. Faiz terbangun & nangis bila telinga dia sakit and his temperature is getting higher. Lambat pulak dokter ni. Lerrr.. relief dokter.. patot ler lambat!!

Ok.. 108.. Faiz nangis lagi.. Dokter cakap Faiz kene ear infections up to the mid-ear. No school for him for the next 2 days and no swimming for the next 2 weeks. Aku lupa plak nak minta MC sekali.. aise... Terpaksa amik CCL (Child Care Leave). Sib baik gomen kasi CCL, aku dah takde leave. Last year company suruh clear all our leaves.

Bil ubat $43.. wah mahal sungguh. Ah.. 80% claimable.. Sib baik lagik. Keluar clinic, saw Faiz holding a small plastic bag.

Me: "Apa tu?"


Faiz: "Game. Teen Titan"

Me: "How much?"

Papa: "$43"

Me: "Mak datok! Sib baik anak awak 1. Kalau 10.. bengkok lah awak. Anak demam jer dapat toy atau game."

... hai.. ni lah laki aku.. marah anak.. sampai kenkadang nak bantai tu budak.. tapi sekejap jer .. pastu.."sayang..sayang anak Papa".. naik kepala lah. Sebabtu Papa selalu kene kelentong ngan Faiz... and.. AKU pun join jugak.. kehkehkeh.. Kesian Papa...

Today Demam kid syiok main game.

Faiz kene ear infections after swimming. Earlier in the afternoon, we went to the nearby pool yg baru tu. Quite big. Best.. tak banyak orang. Sundays: Adult $2 & Child $1. Aku tak swim. Panas terik seh. Now SSC ada banyak rules lah. Men have to wear swimming trunks/suit not shorts and no cameras allowed. Too many "sick-minded" people.
